## Nexus Stribog UAS - Assembly

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Beams" %}
After removing Stribog UAS from packaging, its body should look as follows:

<figure><img src="/files/1RyfqqmMfKu3JbmKRL6u" alt=""><figcaption><p>Folded Stribog UAS</p></figcaption></figure>

Unfold the beam in direction showing in the picture below.

<figure><img src="/files/ehtLytFJJvtt9AL74V5U" alt=""><figcaption><p>Unfolding direction of the beam</p></figcaption></figure>

After folding the beam, look for the indicator of correct lock state, which can be found on the bottom side of beam locking mechanism. Correct lock state is shown in the first picture below.

<div><figure><img src="/files/Lbo9N8WSWPKaxUfcM3Zr" alt=""><figcaption><p><strong>CORRECTLY</strong> locked beam</p></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="/files/Ynm9kv0EyaVXvU9B62g6" alt=""><figcaption><p><strong>WRONG</strong> beam lock state</p></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Make sure, that locking indicator is in the correct state.** Incorrectly locked beam may lead into unwanted behavior during flight and can cause crashing of the drone.
{% endhint %}

Repeat previous steps to unfold all beams into its correct positions.

Fully unfolded drone can be seen in the picture below:

<figure><img src="/files/dvjZxsseJGTUbJw3VAAt" alt=""><figcaption><p>Unfolded beams in correct position</p></figcaption></figure>

After locking all beams in place, **proceed to next step.**
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Propellers" %}
After unfolding all beams, you are able to **unfold all propellers** into their correct position. All propellers are already mounted on the Stribog UAS when shipped to you.

<figure><img src="/files/dvjZxsseJGTUbJw3VAAt" alt=""><figcaption><p>Folded state of the propellers</p></figcaption></figure>

Unfold the propellers by rotating them until they are fully extended and aligned parallel to each other.

<figure><img src="/files/T75FUcF4cIMpN1YwOOvJ" alt=""><figcaption><p>Directions of unfolding the pair of propellers</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/mG38UJRm6I8ciGJPhdUM" alt=""><figcaption><p>Unfolded pair of propellers</p></figcaption></figure>

Repeat the process to unfold all four pairs of propellers.

<figure><img src="/files/z99KBTrGUZETHB1G7ZBR" alt=""><figcaption><p>All propellers unfolded</p></figcaption></figure>

After unfolding all propellers, **proceed to next step.**
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Antennas" %}
Screw on both antennas in clockwise direction.

<figure><img src="/files/OkkcRfhXq8du81BXKAR3" alt=""><figcaption><p>Directions of screwing on antennas.</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/RMNZMQrXAAIiVhvqlreL" alt=""><figcaption><p>Correct placement of antennas</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Please note that antennas are placed differently on the sides of the Nexus Stribog UAV.
{% endhint %}

After mounting antennas, **proceed to next step.**
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Legs" %}
Insert the drone's leg into the designated slot until it locks securely in place.

<figure><img src="/files/XbJh5ZWQuzTVfYRRm6Ne" alt=""><figcaption><p>Leg mounting diagram</p></figcaption></figure>

You will hear 'click' of the locking mechanism when the leg is correctly locked.

<figure><img src="/files/ddem11PWL7imxzvuzZKL" alt=""><figcaption><p>Correctly mounted leg</p></figcaption></figure>

Repeat steps above to mount all four legs of the drone.

<figure><img src="/files/unlF8ovDeyX5rhULvZYN" alt=""><figcaption><p>All legs placements</p></figcaption></figure>

Now you have assembled full body of the drone. **Proceed to next subsection: Mounting batteries.**
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="360° Camera" %}
The 36&#x30;*°* camera must be mounted after the batteries due to the collision of these components.

To mount the camera follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the batteries are already mounted on the UAV.
2. Locate connector in the tail of the drone.
3. Connect the 36&#x30;*°* camera to the tail connector using the opposite side of the connecter on the camera.
   1. While connecting ensure that the camera is connected as straight as possible due to the mechanical stress of the pins used.
      {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Payload" %}
Remove protective gear from the payload by pulling it.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

## Mounting batteries

{% hint style="warning" %}
Don't forget to **charge batteries before mounting them.**

You can find more information about battery charging in section [Batteries and Charging](/uas-platforms/discovery-stribog/stribog-uas-user-manual/batteries-and-charging.md).
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
Always make sure, that you are using same type of batteries, which are **equally charged!**

It is recommended to **charge both batteries simultaneously.**

**Do not charge batteries in parallel.**
{% endhint %}

Take two equally charged batteries and **slide them halfway** into the guide rails on the top of the Nexus Stribog UAS.

Note, that safety latch is in the opposite side of sliding direction.

<figure><img src="/files/AatdKKSHb8qaCjh8av14" alt=""><figcaption><p>Correct way of battery mounting</p></figcaption></figure>

Pull the safety latch and push the batteries fully into the guide rails until securely seated.

<figure><img src="/files/l8kaAImHHIxhyggdsxK5" alt=""><figcaption><p>Direction of pulling safety latch</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/YVmXMbHyHDv88zPIX11k" alt=""><figcaption><p>Opened safety latch</p></figcaption></figure>

Ensure, that safety latch successfully locks in place.

<figure><img src="/files/OFVVh37h9rH8jAUppAtq" alt=""><figcaption><p>Correctly locked battery</p></figcaption></figure>

Now repeat the process to mount second battery.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can also plug in the batteries into the **XT60 connectors ( 1 )** located nearby latch mechanisms.

**For safety reasons, it is recommended to plug in the batteries only when you are going to use the drone at the very moment.**
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/U4MPeVpijR1L5heUqxQ0" alt=""><figcaption><p>XT60 connectors location</p></figcaption></figure>
