## Description

The DCS2.COPTER is a specialised all-in-one board designed for multirotor drone platforms. It integrates peripheral connectivity, power distribution, and four integrated FOC ESCs into a single compact solution, providing all essential interfaces required for quadcopter operation.

Its design enables efficient power and signal routing between propulsion, control, and peripheral subsystems, while reducing overall wiring complexity and the number of external components. The board is optimised for advanced multirotor platforms that require a highly integrated architecture with reliable real-time control and high-efficiency motor drive capability.

## Power supply <a href="#power-supply" id="power-supply"></a>

{% hint style="danger" %}
**WARNING - Do not exceed the maximum input voltage**

Exceeding the maximum input voltage of 60 V may result in permanent damage to the device. Ensure that the input voltage remains within the specified limits at all times. Special care has to be taken if voltage transients and oscillations are present, as these may cause the maximum rating to be exceeded. This can occur in systems with high inductance, during switching events, or when using motor controllers with active braking. Appropriate suppression and protection measures must be implemented.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
**WARNING - Beware of excess heat**

Heat is generated by all onboard voltage regulators during operation, with dissipation increasing at higher load current and total power consumption. Adequate thermal management, such as airflow or passive cooling, is recommended when operating the board at higher load conditions to ensure proper thermal performance and prevent overheating.
{% endhint %}

**Power supply rating:** 12-55V

**Maximum Input Voltage:** 60 V

**Maximum current load per ESC:** 20A

**Monitoring:** Input VBAT, 5V\_SOM, 3V3\_SOM, 5V\_SAFETY, 5V\_PERIPH, 5V\_CRUCIAL and 12V\_PAYLOAD power rails are monitored and reported via CAN2 (DroneCAN)
